Coopers Cove Guest House

"Cooper's Cove Guesthouse is a special place, one that is close to my heart. I was one of Angelo and Ina's very first guests more than ten years ago. The place has a sense of serenity that others may try to emulate but few achieve. It's the mix of things that make it special; the rooms are perfect; quiet, cozy, spotlessly clean, with incredible views; and the quintessential romantic feeling you get from being wrapped in a terry robe in front of the fireplace with your loved one is unbeatable. Add wonderful hosts, Angelo and Ina, and things start to become very special. I can honestly say(and I have to admit to being a foodie ) that I have not enjoyed any Chef's cooking as I have Angelo's.
I have taken his cooking classes and my cooking has improved imensely, but it is his magic touch with food that is so special.
The location of Cooper's Cove is stunning, no matter how many times I stay the first thing I do is walk through to the guest lounge and stand and stare at the harbour, the bay and the distant forest. Ina' attention to detail, and her European style, bring everything together in one great package. I can't wait to go back."

It's no surprise that Cooper's Cove Guesthouse is one of the "Best Places To Kiss in the Northwest", and that it has been featured on several television travel shows- even Oprah Winfrey mentioned the beautiful bed and breakfast on her show.
Situated on a bluff overlooking a secluded harbour and a stunning bay teaming with wildlife, Cooper's Cove's guest lounge offers guests the perfect perch to watch eagles glide at eye level past towering trees, or otters playing in the waters below.
For the more active guest, the famous Galloping Goose Trail lies at the end of a foot path that meanders through the terraced gardens. It is these gardens which provide much of the produce that finds its way onto breakfast plates,or at dinner for those lucky guests taking part in one of Angelo's culinary events. For those wanting to relax, the hot tub in the garden(or on your private deck if you are staying in the Blue Heron Room) offer the perfect place to find tranquility.
Cooper's Cove has four beautiful guestrooms, all of which overlook the gardens and have sea views. While Angelo takes charge in the kitchen Ina takes special pride in pampering her guests with downy-soft duvets, terry robes, slippers, fresh flowers, homemade truffles and even a glass of sherry to make unpacking an absolute pleasure. All rooms feature en-suite baths, bar fridges, private decks and for the ultimate in romance, cozy fireplaces.
Breakfasts at Cooper's Cove are to be lingered over; every morning Chef Angelo comes up with yet more stunning combinations of local produce and homemade breads, pastries, jams and cheeses. Taking an hour or more over breakfast at Cooper's Cove is pretty much standard.
Chef Angelo teaches at a local college and also for a week leads a culinary tour in a Tuscan Cooking School. So for those with culinary inclinations, book a gourmet getaway, interactive dinner or culinary retreat at Cooper's Cove and have fun learning at an informal cooking class, where you get to eat the fruits of your labour!
Although you may be tempted to stay all day at Cooper's Cove enjoying the amenities, there is a lot to do in the surrounding area - after all this is the Pacific Northwest. Sooke, a few kilometers up the road is the gateway to some of the best and most natural beaches in the world. Fishing, cycling, beachcombing and fossil hunting are all on your doorstep, as are art galleries, studios, potters, restaurants and shops. Several championship golf courses are 20-30 minutes away and a 40 minute drive sees you in the city of Victoria - always a fun way to spend a day.
