Albion Manor Bed and Breakfast
Situated on an oak tree-lined boulevard and surrounded by beautiful gardens, elegant tranquility is the hallmark of Albion Manor. Built in 1892 by a well-to-do merchant, the great home was an impressive wedding gift to entice a recently engaged son to return from London with his bride. Yet this superb heritage building, with its eleven-foot ceilings, elaborate carvings and fine details is only 4 blocks to the US ferries and a 5 minute stroll to downtown and Victoria’s major attractions. Within minutes you can be in Beacon Hill Park or walking along the ocean.
Albion Manor Bed & Breakfast is a treasure trove of fine art and antiques from around the world featuring exotic treasures from the places we have lived: Europe, Korea, Japan, Morocco, the Sultanate of Oman and Papua New Guinea. Our home is elegantly decorated with paintings, china cabinets, chaise lounges, overstuffed couches, and beautiful rugs for you to enjoy- to say nothing of the sculptures, paintings, silverpoints, drawings and sketches by Fernando, our artist-in-residence.
Relax in the Peacock Parlour, on the large covered veranda or in the Obelisk Garden after your gourmet breakfast in our Victorian dining room. Enjoy the comforts of newly renovated, modern bathrooms, private entrances, balconies and patios. Dream of romance while embraced in the finest linens and duvets. All rooms have private baths, some with jacuzzis, claw-foot soaker-tubs, balconies and private entrances.
Two dozen long-stem roses; a chilled bottle of Spanish champagne in an ice bucket, with long-stem crystal champagne flutes; and rich chocolate truffles.
You will be picked up at the Manor by horse-drawn carriage and taken on a half-hour carriage ride before being let off at one of Victoria's finest restaurants. Dinner is a $100 value.
A special date. A special birthday. Trying to make up or rekindle an old flame. This special romantic get-away starts when you arrive at Albion Manor Bed and Breakfast for a 2 night stay. Waiting for you in your room will be a dozen, dark, red, exotic roses the scent filling the air. Relax with a dual massage with ylang-ylang and jasmine oils. Then, while the scent of roses wafts through the room, pop the cork on a bottle of perfectly chilled champagne and watch, together, as the bubbles softly caress the inside of tall champagne flutes. Indulge your loved one with a dozen, rich, tasty, succulent, lick them, slowly, chocolate truffles. Later, enjoy another glass of champagne as you enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride around Victoria's famous inner harbour on your way to dinner at one of Albion Manor Bed and Breakfast's gourmet restaurant partners. We suggest you try the oysters, a bit more champagne and, need we say, some more chocolate.
This special romance package is all you need to set the right mood for... well, we'll leave the rest up to you.
