For over 40 years Victoria has had an annual event where you can see the sights for less, significantly less.
Be a Tourist in your Own Hometown focusses on giving Victoria area residents heavily discounted deals at over 30 attractions to encourage them to spread the word to visitors. But … the offers are open to everyone, whether they live in downtown Victoria or outer Mongolia.
From 26th February until 1st March 2015 receive admission at up to 65% discount just by ordering your passport ticket.
These Victoria attractions include the Butchart Gardens, Craigdarroch Castle, the Royal BC Museum and IMAX, Butterfly Gardens and the Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre. Activities include zip-lining, tours by horse-drawn carriage, by bus or by air. There are savings on ferries, car rentals, shopping and many restaurants.
The savings passports are valued at over $300 and cost $12.50 each or buy four and get one free. Order tickets online or pick them up at Tourism Victoria’s Visitor Information Centre at 812 Wharf Street. Further details are available on the Be a Tourist in your Own Hometown website. Check availability for Victoria accommodations during your visit.
